Classical Education...

“Because the classical educator believes in a real world that gives up ordered knowledge of itself, he teaches the student how to get that knowledge. The seven liberal arts were quite deliberately developed for precisely that reason. Believing that we can know truth, and believing that truth sets us free, classical educators spent thousands of years refining the tools of truth-seeking that were used from the beginning of time, but were first codified by Aristotle."

The Dilemma of the Unvaccinated - Family Get Togethers

Christmas 2022

It has been 3 years since the news of an outbreak of a wayward virus in Wuhan, China was first discussed in our household.  Luckily, my husband is a voracious reader of world news, and so he had been reading about the situation long before the American TV stations began their frenzy. Therefore, by December 2019, my immediate family was aware of the outbreak and the possibility of worldwide spread.  We began researching effects and possible precautions so that we could be ready for its arrival in America.

By January 2020, we were gathering supplies to make our own masks, and we were purchasing filters to strengthen our homemade masks.

By February, we had a small reserve of toilet paper, filters, sanitizer, breathing treatments, and fever medications since we were not really sure about the full effects of COVID, and we have family members with weakened immune systems and breathing disorders. We placed orders for manufactured masks, but they would take some time since they were coming from overseas.

By March 2022, the president was taking over tv stations for an hour a night to inform the public of updates and steps for prevention.  This was shocking and frightening.  While it was apparent that the illness had spread across the world, the indications were that over the last 3 months that with cleanliness and typical health precautions (distancing, washing hands, and common sense mask usage), people could lessen their infections and physical responses.  This is when the stores were wiped out!  Hoarding began, and masks and filters were no longer available readily or at reasonable prices.

We made masks to mail to our family members who could not order professional masks, and we made sure that we diversified our research to get all sides of the issue, not just listening to standard news.

When the director of the FDA stepped down as the vaccinations were beginning to be tested, we began to question the legitimacy of the injections. A standard vaccination goes through at least 10 years of study, research, and testing prior to its release to the public.  The media kept asserting that the base carrier in the injections was not new; therefore, it did not need to go through such rigorous testing and study.  However, this was fallacious.  The injection's primary component was mRNA, and while this had been around for quite a while, it had never been used in this way.

mRNA (Messenger RNA): In molecular biology, messenger ribonucleic acid is a single-stranded molecule of RNA that corresponds to the genetic sequence of a gene, and is read by a ribosome in the process of synthesizing a protein. (Source)
President Trump was tested and found to have COVID-19 (October 2020), so he took a variety of treatments (which possibly included Ivermectin) and seemed good to go a few days later.
The former president was admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to receive treatment, which included an antibody cocktail, as well as zinc, Vitamin D, famotidine, melatonin and a daily aspirin and a five-day course of Remdesivir. (Source)
A few months later, once Mr. Hahn, the FDA Commissioner, had resigned from his position, a temporary FDA Commissioner (Ms. Woodcock) approved the rollout of the "vaccinations" (January 2021). On this note, Mr. Hahn stepped down as the Commissioner of the FDA as Trump was leaving office, and a temporary Commissioner (Ms. Woodcock)--not appointed by the President and not confirmed by Senate--was put in place.  It was this temporary Commissioner who approved the COVID "vaccinations". Remember, the Commissioner must be appointed (by a President) and confirmed (by Senate). So something this big--pushing through a vaccine and then mandating it--should never have been done by a temporary FDA Commissioner.

By the time the injections came out, Trump wanted to show support for the 'vaccinations' and so he had one administered--minus a photo-op (January 2021).

Trump may have dodged a very costly bullet by getting Ivermectin in his system prior to getting the injections.  Ivermectin is known to break down proteins--worms--in the system. The mRNA injections are now showing protein spikes and abnormal build-up in the systems of those who received them.  However, those who took Ivermectin and a COVID shot around the same time are not seeing quite the same damaging effects from the injection.
Ivermectin, a US Food and Drug Administration-approved anti-parasitic agent, was found to inhibit severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) replication in vitro. A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was conducted to determine the rapidity of viral clearance and safety of ivermectin among adult SARS-CoV-2 patients. The trial included 72 hospitalized patients in Dhaka, Bangladesh, who were assigned to one of three groups: oral ivermectin alone (12 mg once daily for 5 days), oral ivermectin in combination with doxycycline (12 mg ivermectin single dose and 200 mg doxycycline on day 1, followed by 100 mg every 12 h for the next 4 days), and a placebo control group. Clinical symptoms of fever, cough, and sore throat were comparable among the three groups. Virological clearance was earlier in the 5-day ivermectin treatment arm when compared to the placebo group (9.7 days vs 12.7 days; p = 0.02), but this was not the case for the ivermectin + doxycycline arm (11.5 days; p = 0.27). There were no severe adverse drug events recorded in the study. A 5-day course of ivermectin was found to be safe and effective in treating adult patients with mild COVID-19. Larger trials will be needed to confirm these preliminary findings. (Source)
It would have been safer for the ill to take Ivermectin instead of the COVID injectionOriginally, doctors saw positive results from Ivermectin and therefore prescribed it due to its antiviral properties. While approved for use in clinical trials, though, Ivermectin was not approved as a general use for COVID-19 treatment. In fact, many media outlets demonized those who wished to receive Ivermectin treatment calling them anti-vaxxers and anti-government fanatics.  Due to Trump encouraging Americans to take their health into their own hands in 2020 and advocating for them to confer with their doctors for the best treatment, many media outlets said those who searched for Ivermectin were Trump fanatics.  The mainstream media supported the pharmaceutical "vaccination" and shamed anyone who said otherwise. In the end, Ivermectin was not allowed as a proper treatment for COVID, and doctors were penalized if they administered such treatment to patients. The government had approved specific 'big pharma' treatments for COVID, and Ivermectin was not allowed despite its continued positive response to the illness.

This is what led to the Christmas 2022 discussion with my extended family.  Sadly, some of our family were pressured into getting the injection--to be able to visit people in the hospital or to save their jobs. But at the Christmas gathering, there were questions as to its possible lingering effects on their bodies.  The discussion ran through all of the outside pressures from federal and state governments to get the injections.  The pressure on doctors to give the shots. For patients in hospitals to not get care without the shot, and for travel and services to only be granted to those with vaccine passports.  It was this mob mentality, government control, and Nazi-like fear and punishment that ultimately led my immediate family to opt-out of the injection. However, the discussion at Christmas 2022 was about the constitutionality and ethical ramifications of the fear and pressure.  Things were relatively civil until the question of tainted blood, infertility, and possible accelerated death hit the group.

While the public ostracized the unvaccinated and made them feel as if they were spreading illness and not contributing to community social welfare, now the tables have been turned and there is this idea that those with "vaccinated" blood have inferior and tainted blood.  Their blood is undesirable for transfusion, their lifespan may be cut short, and they may have the inability to have children.  The discussion of clumped protein strands in the blood, brain fog, and myocarditis as the three primary symptoms of the "vaccinated" arose, and the group got more uncomfortable and defensive. The fear on all levels was great!  If you did not get the "vaccination", what were the risks for your children if the person you later marry did get the injection?  If you did get the "vaccination", what were the personal long-term health risks? Eventually, one family member lashed out and began calling names:
  • You are one of 'those' people!
  • You are an anti-vaxxer, aren't you?!
The discussion was over.  Fear had prevailed.  Self-doubt and unclear answers had led to name-calling and Strawman and Ad Hominem fallacies.
FYI: I'm not an anti-vaxxer.  I simply refused to put the COVID "vaccine" in my system.  There is a BIG difference.
Lesson learned.  The COVID-19 injection is still too hot a debate for people on both sides to have a long discussion about.  Too many unknowns float around.  Too many political agendas and cover-up scenarios are ongoing.  Too many media outlets are pushing the narrative instead of following the story.

When a government forces people into lockdowns and quarantines, mandates "vaccinations" to travel, and then does not allow for suing for death and damage based on these "vaccinations" there is much to be concerned about. When you have family members who do not watch the news or only watch one viewpoint on the subject, there is too much for them to take in during one Christmas family gathering. Pace the discussion.  Be kind and open to new insights you might not have heard before. Overtime, hopefully, people will learn that the Associated Press is not really any better than a thorough YouTube video with proper source usage and logical thought.  (I highly recommend Epoch Times if you want relatively balanced media coverage.)

My suggestions and insights...
  1. always question FREE, untested medical services,
  2. if masks do not work, then doctors have been wasting their time and money in hospitals for hundreds of years,
  3. be sure to limit the volume of dispensing of information to those who may have alternative ideas than your own.  If they have not heard your side before, it may come as quite a shock, and so you should dole it out in small dribs and drabs over numerous meetings, and
  4. do plenty of research from many outside sources to learn the most you can about a topic.  It takes a lot of time, but it may make it so that you are comfortable with your long-term decisions later in life.
