Classical Education...

“Because the classical educator believes in a real world that gives up ordered knowledge of itself, he teaches the student how to get that knowledge. The seven liberal arts were quite deliberately developed for precisely that reason. Believing that we can know truth, and believing that truth sets us free, classical educators spent thousands of years refining the tools of truth-seeking that were used from the beginning of time, but were first codified by Aristotle."

A new mask style...

I have found a new method of making masks that I will try this weekend.

Up to this point, I have been making single layer masks (disposable) from Shop Towel material (the blue electrostatic formed towels in a roll) and pocket masks with 2 pieces of fabric to place a 5-layer filter into once completed. You know, the basic cut out two patterns, sew the front nose-piece, then turn the two fabrics front to front, sew edges, turn right side out, and then add elastic.  Easy, right?

However, after making my sister three (3) pocket masks like those, I came across this tutorial, and I plan to give it a try this weekend.

As you will find on her blog site, "I already wrote a face mask photo tutorial for this process and I wasn’t going to make a video - but then my own sister doubted me when I told her how quickly she could make these face masks! So here is my easy video tutorial...you can find it on my YouTube channel here."

Take a look. I am always looking for new mask shapes and tutorials to try to get just the right mask for my family. You can visit the original post HERE.

Good luck!
